CNC Fine Plasma Cutting Machine is Introduced by Our Factory

Recently,the Supply and Marketing Equipment Department has introduced a CNC fine plasma cutting machine,which help us to improve our production efficiency and quality.

Plasma arc cutting(PAC) is a processing method that using the heat of high temperature plasma arc to melt (and evaporate) part of the metal at the workpiece incision, and using the momentum of high-speed plasma to remove the molten metal to form the incision.



    Compared with oxy-acetylene cutting(CFC-A), PAC has the following advantages. First, CNC plasma cutting is faster. The cutting speed ratio of CNC plasma cutting and oxyacetylene cutting is 3.5:1, especially when cutting ordinary carbon steel sheets, the speed can reach 5 to 7 times that of oxygen cutting.

    Second, the quality comparison between PAC and CFC-A shows the superiority of plasma cutting. The workpieces cut by plasma machine are free of burrs and slag, and its surface is smooth without tread. The cutting surface roughness is less than 50μm, and the cutting accuracy tolerance is not more than 0.8mm/m. What’s more,plasma cutting workpieces are not easily deformed. We can save machining processes, so the area of production operation can be greatly reduced.Thereby the plasma machine can alleviate the tense working area of the workshop, and its comprehensive economic benefits are very considerable.



Third, CFC-A cannot solve the cutting of non-ferrous metals and steel plates below 5mm, while plasma can easily solve these problems.

Fourth, on the basis of the traditional numerical control system, the plasma cutting machine improves the control method for cutting to avoid secondary trimming. It supports standard G code path files generated by Wentai, Beihang Haier, ARTCAM, Type3 and other software. The control system adopts U disk to exchange processing files, which is convenient and quick to operate.



Fifth, in terms of safety, CFC-A has a risk of tempering, while plasma cutting can avoid this.And when using plasma cutting machines, the work condition is safer than oxy-acetylene.

Sixth, the plasma cutting machine is equipped with a dedusting pool. The waste gas and iron dust generated by cutting would be pumped into the water. Compared with CFC-A, the dust pollution and waste gas pollution are less.
